America's 250th birthday
Knew Glory's Covenant
The words that gave Knew Glory its name — a message of remembrance, inclusion, and reconciliation.
We believe that every person has a place in America's story and every generation has a responsibility to help write its next chapter.
Knew Glory is a symbol created in remembrance of that journey.
We, the people of this community and this nation standing on the threshold of America’s 250th Birthday we, make this simple and solemn covenant: We choose dignity in how we speak, how we listen, and how we treat one another. We choose truth not as a weapon, but as a foundation. We choose courage, to face what must be faced and to build what must be built. We choose unity not uniformity, but a shared commitment to one another’s humanity. We choose responsibility to carry our part of the American story with care, humility, and purpose. We honor the generations who brought us this far. We call forward the generations who will carry us beyond this moment. And we commit ourselves individually and collectively to shaping a future worthy of the promise we inherited. We choose remembrance not to remain in the past, but to ensure that every chapter of our shared history is remembered with honesty and respect.
We make this convenant not as a promise to the past, but as a promise to one another and to those yet to come. May we leave this nation stronger than we found it, more united than we imagined, and more faithful to the ideals that call us forward.
This is our Commitment. This is our KNEW GLORY.
